We admired Malala
because she is an icon of solidarity. She is 17 years old she is our peer she
is a teenager like we but she is teaching around the world of solidarity she
struggle for equality between men and women and peace. She is an example for everybody.
The story of Malala
starts one day when she was going to the school in Pakistan, in this time she
started write a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC detailing her life under
Taliban occupation. She is known mainly for human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending
school. Malala's advocacy has since grown into an international movement.
On the afternoon of 9 October
2012, when she was going to the school a gunman asked for her by name, then
pointed a pistol at her and fired three shots. One bullet hit the left side of Malala's
forehead, travelled under her skin through the length of her face, and then
went into her shoulder. In the
days immediately following the attack, she remained unconscious and in critical
condition, but later her condition improved enough for her to be sent to the Queen
Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, for intensive rehabilitation. Despite what
happened she would not budge and continued to fight. The assassination attempt sparked a national and
international outpouring of support for Malala.
On 10 October 2014, Malala was
announced as the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize for her struggle
against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all
children to education. At age 17, Malala is the youngest-ever Nobel Prize
laureate .Malala shared the prize with Kailash Satyarthi, a children's rights
activist from India. She is the only Pakistani winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is proof that everyone can try to improve the world despite the
